i tore it apart. #1 top rod bearing is smushed, so it was indeed knock.
I bought a house a few months ago, plus the weather has been below freezing for a couple weeks. So i havent been working on it, I've just been collecting parts.
The block and crank will get sent to the machine shop to be checked, then i'll put it all back together with fresh parts. I'm ditching the Alky injection. I'll just do pump gas on the street, and race gas if i ever go to the track. I want to see how quick i can go on street tires.

friday morning thread bump.
getting ready to pull it out of the garage for the summer.
last year i kept getting plagued with ignition problems. I burned up a MSD coil, melted a couple MSD distributor caps, and a couple plug wires. my best 2014 E/T was 11.2 @ 118, my best 1/8th was 7.0. The ignition misfire kills it on the top end, so i kept the tune soft until i worked through the problems. Still using the exact same motor, and still on street tires.
Over this winter i added a set of ATR stainless turbo headers. Also i found a broken coil wire, and scorched rotor. So hopefully the broken coil wire is what kept killing my ignition system. We'll see.
