Default Tubbed 454SS??? Pics???

So my uncle and I just picked up a 1990 454SS with like 135K on the clock and we want to tub it. Anybody have pics of theirs (or any other 80's/90's chevy truck) thats tubbed? We also considered trying to shorten a dually bed to fit...but I like the idea of tubbing it better.

What types of suspensions have guys gone with when doing this? Have any pics of that too? I want to ditch the leaf springs and maybe do a truck arm setup with either a panhard or a watts. Fabrication work is a non-issue for us, just trying to get ideas for what to build before we build it.

On 454ss.com, most people that tub it go 4 link or they use cal-tracs. If you ditch the leaf springs, you'll have to go with a coil-over design.

Thats the whole point of the truck arms with the panhard or watts...ditch the leaf springs (along with all their associated issues and shortcomings) and go with coil overs or shockwaves. I don't want a 4 link on the street...Heim's are too harsh...truck arms will be pretty quiet in that regard.

If you want to run a four link on the truck, look into s&w racecars. They have some pretty cool stuff and have a backhalf frame kit for the 88-98 chevy/gmc trucks.

There are a few tubbed SS's out there, but IMO, they are cooler un-tubbed. I'm kind of partial, though.

S&W has a kit for the '88-98 trucks, try this link...http://www.swracecars.com/corp/pdf/CATpg15.PDF
