Pretty much what iamkeniff said, Im doing a turbo 4.8 build myself right now, I did head studs, tripple 12 cam, 76mm bb 96ar p-trim turbo, 3600-3700 spec'd stall, 3.73 gears. i built my turbo system myself and right now my plans a twin 340 pumps, 8an fuel line, 80# injectors and run e85. I havent got it done yet so i cant really say what it will do but with all the info I could find after lots and lots of research this is what i came up with.

Damn jake99 sounds like you are gonna run some serious boost to that baby 4.8

Id sell my 6.2 for a 4.8 with a triple 12 an head studs along with a 74mm

Since ur doing a turbo on 4.8 do a ls9 head gasket arp rod and head bolt that would really make that 4.8 a beast IMO

Might as well swap the arp head bolts for arp head studs depending the boost level but the arp bolts are good for 10-12psi easy.

U can run that boost w/o arp studs and bolt 10-12psi easy.
u can run higher boost levels on a stock 4.8 with the right fueling and tune
heres a link of some good material to read.

Yeah I got arp head studs with ls1 steel layered head gaskets and arp rod bolts, my turbo is rated for 900 hp and my truck still has a n2o kit on it, also an 80e with and hd2 so.. I think the bottem end should be the limiting factor now. This is my first boost setup ever so ill be learning so I go but I hope to beat my old time of 11.5 all boost off the foot brake and 10s with a little shot off the line. Wish it was up and and running so I could help ya out more boosted 4.8 but I hope my research helps ya out a little.

If you read that article, you'll see they USED ARP HEAD STUDS on that motor
I know you can get boost out of a stock head bolt but when you start adding a lot of boost, timing the stock torque to yeild bolt poses an issue if the head starts to lift under cylinder pressure. If he wants to run a LS9 gasket he might as well upgrade to a better bolt imho.
50.00 vs 100.00 for a better head bolt is an easy choice imho.

Everyone has a different opinion an mine is simply upgrade a possoble issue while i have the motor on the stand
