Weight of a '98?

Im comfused u said the obs were lighter, my truck (obs) is a rcswb stepside and its 5k with me in its a 2wd, its been a long time since i weighed it but it was either 4000 or 5000 with my weight deducted, guess i need to get back on the scales since i ripped alot of stuff out..... so the newer trucks are lighter or heavier?
