Who's got a TURBO 88-98 rcsb Z-71
Ok I just completed my version of a homemade boosted nbs rcsb I went with the common mp70 starter turbo and a 150,000mi 5.3. While it's fun to loose traction at will, I would eventually like to hook the power and outrun some ****. I know this truck can be made to hook with slicks and caltracs, but I wish I would have started with a regular cab z. The 99-07 versions of these trucks are pretty heavy but are still stupid fast when boosted. This is what lead me to the obs 4x4 it would weigh less than my 99 and be the ultimate sleeper lowered to 2wd ride height.Has this been done and are there any pics floating around??

My brother has a 2wd, he's just got some home made bars and drag radials and hooks up real well, better then my 99, I don't think the 4x4 systems are vary strong on those older models, they seem to have problems even in stock form

Your bro's truck and yours is badass. Are the front chunks different from the 99 up z's? I dont have a problem fabricating to change out to a later model front if it's gonna be an issue. I already have a new 4wd 80e and a 241 vss tc. This is the kind of feedback I'm looking for.

From glancing a few times I think you could run the factory LS style A/C compressor on a 4wd OBS IF you converted it to 2wd. But my truck is lowered so if you had one lifted some I bet it would fit no problem. The frame is a little wider on the 4wd models in the front.

Does anyone know of a company that puts together a turbo kit for an obs with a 6.0? I have one in the works. And will either be doing a blower or turbo. But would like to go turbo if anyone knows a company that builds the plumbing and sells a complete kit for the swap
