Default 4th Gen Compound

So I grabbed a shovel & decided to go digging in the graveyard of the Cummins section...

Not much on 4th Gen compounds, so here goes. Any of y'all have experience with Pusher Intakes out of FL? I've had lots of recommendations towards their setup and figure I may as well include their 3.5" intake horn & boost tubes while I'm at it. As for the second turbo, it seems like every 6.7 compound kit starts with an S475 on a 96mm, 1.32 A/R turbine side.

1) I bobtail 97% of the time & only pull up to 7000lb or so when I do have the trailer.
2) I plan to stick with stock fuel & have no aspirations for some 700hp ridiculousness that that configuration 475 is capable of (my car's already got that much @ 1/2 the weight, if I want to jack around like a 25yr-old).
3) I've got a tuned stick shift that doesn't load up as much or often as an auto & hangs at lower RPM for the equivalent loading factor. That said, me getting on it up a hill while daily driving still only peaks ~15psi on the stock VGT before dropping down to 10ish... and it ain't lolly-gagging.

With those points in mind, I'm looking at swapping the turbine housing to a 1.15 A/R to try & bring it on a bit earlier. The 96 wheel should still keep the drive pressure low, being a divided T6, but I'm hoping it's working by 1700-1800 RPM rather than >2000 like the 1.32 would expect. Thoughts?

too late... i done got me a 1.15 96mm housing on the 475 sitting in the living room waiting on a stall to open at the shop.
i'm feelin' good about this.

About dang time! Is it fairly easy to work on the 4th gens? I know most Powerstrokes a Dmaxs require either a contortionist to do the work or the cab to be lifted.

the directions look fairly straightforward & sounds like it's only about 8hrs for somebody who's done a couple of these kits before (a solid weekend for a noob)... but it requires a few pieces, tools, and expertise that i ain't got - in addition to better mobility (with a hole in my foot right now).

so i decided to just let a local shop who's done a few put this one together.

Very nice, using Rapid Diesel? I had good service from them and a buddy used their dyno a couple of times.

Doing anything about el clutcho?

not this time. i've been there before with the lemon LLY, though, and they were good dudes. got a little better vibes from another shop & they've got me scheduled in a few weeks.

and what kind of question is that about the clutch?! i ain't as retarded as you look.
the stock garbage can't even hold up to the stock automatic power (hence the factory de-rate), let alone anything modified. a basic tune slips the clutch above 69% throttle now, so a Valair dual is going in.

Chill dawg winters coming! I figured you'd have to do a clutch but you hadn't mentioned it and you know how clutches get me all moist. After these upgrades, you better have some sort of video proof!

naw, you know i'm just jerkin' your chain i figured anybody with a shred of common sense knew a clutch was a given.
and winter really is on its way - just went from 91° yesterday to 58° right now.

i'll see what i can do on the moving picture.

It's been 65* the last few mornings as I walk to open my gate and I think I'm gonna need a jacket if it dips lower.

How much woo-pow do you think she'll be rolling after this round of upgrades?
