Default Cummins vs Duramax

I just wanted to get y'alls prediction. Which do you think would win a stock 03 auto quad cab 2wd 3/4ton Dodge with the 555 Cummins, or a stock 02 crew cab 2wd 3/4ton auto Duramax? I ask because I've never seen his truck run, but I know the Dodge is quick.

I think it will be a close race. If someone happens to sneek a programmer on one of them it could be nasty though. Here is some testing by motortrend.

i raced an o3 dodge in mine when it was stock and from a stop i got walked, the only time i could keep up was on the hwy doing about 110mph by 117mph we were dead even. i raced a stock duramax with my edge box and still got drug, the durmaxs run like a 16.o in the 1/4 to mabye in the 15s in the 1/4 stock

I don't have any way to accurately measure the times, but there is a spot near my house that is a little less than a 1/4 mile that a lot of people race at. Based off of what I've heard about his truck they run right at the same speed at the end (about 83). But we all know that it's the time that matters, not the speed. I think it will be close. If I get a chance to race him I'll let y'all know how it went.

I don't know I hear Gale Banks is working on a twin trubo for the duramax and it's going to make 1000 foot pounds and over 700 hp I don't care what you got that's fast.

yeah i saw that on spike tv, they got an old surburban there puttin a hummer body on, the droped a duramax in it, with banks twin sidewinders, the kit also uses to intake mainifolds that have individual runners to each port on the heads, kinda looks like the intakes on a viper v-10 but bigger. looks pretty cool.

My fathers 03 D-max dually crew-cab, bone stock with just a chip ran a 9:40's in the 1/8 mile. And it was loaded down that day with 90 gal. tank/toolbox in the back. I unhooked it from the race car trailer pulled on the track and busted it off I was very impressed. I love to see them big ol Diesels haul **** at the track.
