03 3.7 ram, thinking about trying to swap in a hemi
My boss has an 03 Ram that has the 3.7 and it plugged the oil pickup tube up and ruined the engine. Used 90k mile engines around here cost $2600 and up with new ones up close to 4000. What all is involved in swapping from the V6 to a Hemi?? Do we just need the engine harness and ecu? What about the mounts? Does the V6 trans even bolt to the Hemi bellhousing? Any insight would be appreciated.

If I remember right, you'll need the pcm, harness, engine and tranny ( I believe the v6 trans won't mount up and won't handle the power), radiator, maybe driveshaft and stiffer coil springs from a donor.

Well after hunting around and finding out what all has to be changed, we are just gonna try to find another V6 for the truck. The junkyard says that those engines are 03 only, does anybody have any ideas of the differences between and 03 and an 05?
