Flowmaster 50 HD installed!
Muffler is on and I like the sound although I think it's on the loud side. Now remember I had a very quiet muffler on my truck before, a Dynomax Super Turbo. It does sound healthy! Just a little loud for me but I'll see if I can get use to it. If not, I'll have the factory resonator installed in front of the muffler to take some of the tone away. Don't get me wrong, IT SOUNDS GOOD! But I can already hear the wife "Oh God, you made it loud again". LOL! I had 2.25" chrome tips installed to try and keep the interior noise down, glad I didn't go bigger. Here's a pic.

Loud is good, as long as it doesn't wake up the guys next door everytime you start it up. Grats on your new muffler.
I need to get a new Y pipe made up for my exhaust. There is a problem with the Dynatech Y pipe. It's 2.5" pipes collecting into a 2.5" pipe, then opens up into a 3" pipe. What it needs to be is 2.5" pipes into a 3" collecter, that 5" of a single 2.5" pipe I've come to find out is why my dyno is 10hp/lbs less then everyone else with the similar mods.

loud is always good!! and who worries about the neighbors? put you some long tubes on there with no converters and use the road in front of your house for your own personal burn out box.

Well, the exhaust is to loud for me, especially after I cut the tailpipes off and put turndowns on the muffler. Tried to cure the resonation and it did but now it's just loud. I ordered some 22" long 3.5" stainless resonated tips with a 2.25"' core to replace the plain, small 2.25" tips I had installed originally. The new tips core and my tailpipe size are the same so that should hurt anything. I'm hoping the new tips take the edge off because the muffler does sound good.

you ought to record your DA along with your runs.... that give you a better comparison without the weather being a factor.... I put mine back on 87 tune and man.... sluggish, but I understand that not all trucks react that way...
