Hemi Hat vs Airaid MIT, my test results!
I did some long term testing on the two, had them on the truck for about a month each. I got in eight 0-60 and 1/4 mile runs with each setup under various conditions. I keep records on 0-60 & 1/4 mile time, 1/4 mph and outside air temperature on each run. Here's what I came up with!
Hemi Hat:
0-60 avg: 7.29
1/4 mile avg: 15.65
1/4 mph avg: 91.0
Avg temp: 70*
Airaid MIT:
0-60 avg: 7.21
1/4 mile avg: 15.58
1/4 mph avg: 91.3
Avg temp: 68*
So as you can see, the MIT does help some but it's not a dramactic difference. It's .08 seconds faster 0-60 and .07 seconds faster in the 1/4. If it takes 10 hp to reduce your 1/4 time by .1 as I've read it does, then .08 is good for 8 hp. Thought I would share this.

I've seen good results from both of them, airaid is better IMO, from what I've seen most of the quick guys are running the airaid MIT. I run a gutted hemi hat myself, it seperates and you can cut all the baffles out with a dremel, and it sounds sweet after this is done..........
