Hemi HP ratings????????
Why does the 1500 and 2500 hemi trucks have 345HP and the 3500 models only have 330HP? I figured with a free'r flowing exhaust and alot less smog restrictions they would make more power.

Its a common thing, look at the durango, they have like 330 or 340, some of the cars have different torque/HP ratings as well. Alot of it depends on which intake it had between the cars/trucks, exhaust and such.

I realize that but the trucks all have the same intake, and the 3500 has what looks like a free'r flowing exhaust. Plus with a 3500 they have alot less restrictions on the amount of smog it can produce, meaning they are free to make more power.
I guess it could be a much milder tune so it will last and hold up to heavy towing longer. With a huge load on the engine its more prone to wear and detonation.
