hemi swap no start :(

Default hemi swap no start :(

well my buddy did a 05 hemi swap on his 03 4.7 he did the light harness and engine harness and an 05 cumpter everything was simple plug and play but now the key turns all electrical works but wont crank any idea? does it need a reflash on the pcm? any info would help him out thanks

Try grounding the starter motor relay that should be in the fuse box. This will enable to starter to activate. (even with the engine running, though)

bump tried what FrostKing said and thanks for the tip, well we took it to the dealer and they cant find anything on it and was told the pcm isnt getting signal tried a different pcm ans nothing any ideas?

If the starter has ground and 12v when you trigger the relay, either the starter wire isn't hooked up or your starter is toast. PCM won't be aware that its cranking but the engine will still turn over.

if thats the problem will the pcm not get signal? Im just shocked that the dealer said they dont know what to do lol they swapped 3 pcms and still no luck

engine wont turnover at all we turn the key and nothing feels like its dead but lights are on evrything but the engine

yeah bet so i just feel bad for my buddy his truck has been down for 3weeks just trying to help on what i can hope he'll get it up and running

Did you jump the relay? Engine won't turn over if the starter isn't getting power...work backwards with this one.

i have not touched his truck only been around when his so called master tech did the swap and rigged the starter due to beening an 03 ram with 05 parts and was told something about the hemi starter not fitting due to extra coneters which i have no clue only know that they had to rigg it and now the tech and dealer dont know which starter to use lol
