Notice the MPH?that tells you he is making some decent HP out of that little engine, not bad starting with only 285HP not 345.

give it up.... look at that list of mods.... does everyone you post up with have, pcm cracked tune, headers w/full ecxhaust, cam, converter..... yada yada????
at least post up apples to apples...
but ya know I could give a crap about stock vs stock and all that start holding your breath, that is about all the time you got left, then it will be I have this truck and it runs this fast and it won't matter WHO makes it!
I gotta question for ya.... what will it take for the Hemi crowd to EARN your respect????? or are you just a Chevy diehard that can only see a bowtie and everything else is ??? If you are of the later I am going to start ignoring your crap because I will know what you are.

For the most part I really like this site. Nice friendly competition and I can't wait to hit Commerce with some of the guys- but there are a few here that I could care less what they have to say- talk about blind brand loyalty.

Gonzo, comparing any truck to another brand of truck is comparing apples to bananna's. Your trying to point out how slow dodge ram's with hemi's are by saying a hemi ram with a couple bolt on's is slow compared this chevy with well over a dozen mods including some internal stuff like a cam. Fair enough a lightly modded hemi is going to be slower then a resonably modded chevy, yet that same chevy doesn't look so fast when you compare it to my time with my select few bolt on's.
You flame the hemi's 345 hp, and why a little 285 5.3L can keep up, this is why I compared a rcsb 4x4 chevy to a 4x2 ram, because they weigh the same, do you understand that the ram is several 400-500lb's heavier then an equally equiped chevy?
It's no different then people slagging the new F-150 with the 5.4L, sure they are slow, why, because they are freaking heavy, they have dam near 900lbs more weight then a chevy, and still a good 400lb's over a ram.
Eh I am just wasting words, your too blinded by your love for the bowtie.

Forsure, I personally think that test wasn't fair, should of had a extended cab 4x4 hemi. Btw a friends 04 QC 4x4 hemi with the Superchips programmer, nothing more ran a 15.1 the same night I pulled off my 14.1. Before the programmer he was in the 15.3 range. Still slower then the SS, but not the land slide victory most people make it out to be.
I just don't like people doggin the hemi without all the facts. It's got the power, it just has a lot more weight to push, and thats why a 5.3L can keep up with a hemi.

Gonzo...will you try to find a timeslip from a rc/sb 2wd 5.3 with only a cold air intake, headers, open exhaust, and programmer...NOT custom tune, but programmer...aka superchips, hypertech, diablo sport. This is all it takes a hemi to run 13's even at 4900#. No cam, no high stall convertor, no custom tune...none of that. The guys slip you posted earlier had all of the above mods plus some, and still only ran .1 quicker than my hemi on stock 245/70/17 tires, stock 3.92 gears, and no weight reduction. And I still pulled 3mph quicker which says that I am making more power, but having a hard time putting that power to the ground on stock tires.

Guys! So far you're all keeping it civil and please continue to. Gonzo, I know you like to stir the pot and you've taken a few jabs at me and my Hemi Ram. Don't get to carried away though, they are correct, this is the Dodge section. We are all members of one multi truck forum here but still, if you don't have anything nice to say about the other brands, stay in the GM section.
