I wish a fully loaded hemi weighed 4600#!! Mine weighed in at 4850# on 17's, rear bumper and hitch removed, center console removed, and 1/8 tank of gas.

I haven't run it at the track yet with the nitrous. I have been to the track twice since the install, but I spent the entire first night fixing a friends truck, and I had a broken bottle heater and a nitrous leak the second time, so I never ran it. Now I have to find some slicks before I go back.

Yesh 4600lb's is light. My ship weight when the truck came off the train was 4750lbs. Fully loaded with my fat *** inside I tip the scales at 5300lbs. For racing I can get it back down to 4950lbs.

well i guess they were lying about being in full trim!? but i saw the scales when they were on them and they were both within 10#s of each other. so i dont know, but they also said all they had was dual exhaust (no headers)and a k&n drop in and they were runnin 14.6 constantly and a couple of 14.4 runs. so i think they did like to lie a little!

Yea, my last time at the track was 4760 lbs..... and I have had it down to 4720.... If I tried just a little harder I think I can get it down to 4690... but that would be really stretching it..... like carrying spare fuel to leave in the parking lot!

The 2nd gen rams are much lighter than the 3rd gen's.

Is that with you in it? Subtract 200 lbs from my weight listed above.... If not...

Gonzo...will you try to find a timeslip from a rc/sb 2wd 5.3 with only a cold air intake, headers, open exhaust, and programmer...NOT custom tune, but programmer...aka superchips, hypertech, diablo sport. This is all it takes a hemi to run 13's even at 4900#. No cam, no high stall convertor, no custom tune...none of that. The guys slip you posted earlier had all of the above mods plus some, and still only ran .1 quicker than my hemi on stock 245/70/17 tires, stock 3.92 gears, and no weight reduction. And I still pulled 3mph quicker which says that I am making more power, but having a hard time putting that power to the ground on stock tires.
My truck is in my sig...it is an ec 4x4 tho with 3.42 gears. I was next to a hemi at a stoplight tho and I wasnt planning on racing him. but when the green turned on he squeelled the tires a little so I floored to after I was already rollin. When I put it to the floor I had to be at his back door(on a QC 4x4) I pulled up to mid fender on him by the time he let off at about 90mph. It was a pretty good run and I gave him the thumbs up afterwards, but I think his head was a little too big about it cuz he just kinda looked and nodded but w/e. I thought I ran pretty good against him and I dont know if he had anything done to it or not. that was without my 20's on too. Oh and I weighed my truck in full trim without me in it and the truck scales said 5100, I didnt wiegh it at the track.
