Talking pcm

hey guys; just wanted to say 'hey' because i am new to the forum. i have always been a mopar fan and i currently own a 2000 dakota 4.7 4x4 that i love to dealth.

Question: i have been thinking about changing the stock pcm in my truck to something with more hp and tq w/out reducing my gas mileage. a buddy of mine who is studing to be a mopar mechanic said that i should buy a pcm out of a durango r/t. is this a good swap and about how much will something like this cost me?

----

Summer plans: k&n 77 series performance intake, ceramic coated gibson headers, true dual flowmaster super 40 exhaust, new pcm?

A better idea would be a KRC pcm or even a Mopar Performance one.... think I would go to KRC first... They offer superchargers, cams, throttle bodies and a few other goodies

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I am pretty confident that a 5.9 pcm wont even plug into a 4.7 harness.

I would do as suggested above, get a Mopar performance PCM, a custom tune or just get a Handheld like a Superchips.

If you can't find a Mopar PCM just get a handheld tuner...I.E. Superchips. Your power will increase slightly and you'll get better mpg.
