Default Some of my stuff.

Figured I'd show this stuff here too! I'm building a .030 over, 10.5:1 comp 318. Diamond racing istons, Scat rods, lightened and knife edged stock crank, these Edelbrock heads ported by KRC Performance, gonna spray a 200 shot on it, and its all backed by a 5 speed. Hoping for a high 12 onmotor, and whatever comes with the spray after that! Here are some parts pics!

I feel the need, the need for speed and it looks like you've got a few part to do it.

Yes, I'm gathering quite the stock pile! The whole bottom end is at the machine shop right now, and should be done, I gotta call tomorrow (no pics of the goodies, sorry). All thats left is the "as yet to be determined" cam, pushrods, an oil pump, and some misc gaskets. Been thinking about deepening the oil pan and appropriate extended pickup too. I'm kinda going about the Dakota/Magnum motor build completely different then everyone else. Think outside the box!!!

He he, I wish!! Still gotta find someone willing to work with me on a cam, no one seems to know what this will need, its kinda new territory. Plus I dont think the stock lifters can handle 7K. Trying to find solid rollers for it.

You can't use LA or AMC solid lifters? Are the lifter bores different?

I was thinking AMC solids, as they oil through the pushrods. I'll have to look into diameter and length and where the oil groove is and also how they are kept aligned. The Magnums have a figure 8 type of stamped steel that interlocks to the lifters at the top to keep them from rotating, 2 flat sides on top of the lifters. I know the AMC or LA lifters wont have that. And, not sure on lifter bore length and what I can get away with. Suppose I could just go flip the 340 block over and measure, LOL

Is the lower hose routing the same on that CSR pump as the stocker? That was one issue I noticed with moving the alternator and so forth.

No, it comes out at a different angle, but you can put it in either side of the pump. I wont have any accessories, just the alternator mounted down low on drivers side, so it wont be an issue.
