There's a handful of us out there that have already done the swap. 6.1 parts are hard to get your hands on since DX put them on restriction.

GM has put the 6.0L in more then just three vehicles, and it's been around longer then what 2yrs. Expect to pay big bucks if you can find one, a Big if.

i am a tech at dodge i have a 6.1 sitting in the crate by my stall it came in on a recall under manufacture error. during assembally one of the wrist pins was incorrectly installed. it came out of a 300c. if chrysler doesn't call for it i plan on requesting it for myself. seem to be a cheaper alturnative to buying a crank rods pistons cam and all that good stuff. i knew that a few of you guys did the crank swaps but didn't know if you have gotten hold of a complete 6.1.

SemiHemi, I see that you have one of the 6.1 wrist pin failures. I have a brand new set of 6.1 pistons, rings and rods that I can sell you, if your interested. Rumor has it that HP tuners are close to releasing it.

Speaking of 6.1's, i'd really like to get ahold of a 6.1 intake manifold. Where can i find one?
