simplicity for one, but the main reason is the TB itself needs replacing. one of the barrels is corroded and breaking down. A new one is like $379, for that I can get a decent manifold and half of a nice carb.

What would you do? Keep the TBI? Just get a new manifold and TB?

I'd do a little junk yard crawlin and see if I could find another TB before I put all that time into a carb swap. Tha is if you plan on drivin it much. The TB is better on gas than the carb for starters. If you don't care about the gas then by all means go ahead and do the swap.

maybe I'll go look for a junked one then...

Any advice an intake manifold that'll compliment the TB? I'd really like to add some power to it for hauling and towing purposes.

Not sure but I'll check around. I'd do the exhaust first like I said but I'll have to check and see if anything additional needs to be done about the smog delete on a TBI.

Thanks for all the help man! I plan on picking up those headers real soon from Summit. I pulled the pump off yesterday afternoon. Where do you go for your info? I've seen a couple of other Dodge sites but (no offense to the guys) nobody seems technically advanced in the Dodge performance area. Shoot me a PM if you need.

Let me know about the Summit headers because I'd like to get a set for my 84 RSLB with a fresh rebuilt 318.

I'm on rumblebee.org mostly but they don't really do much in the way of performance. For performance I go to Dodge Truck World more often than not as far as forums go. For straigt I wanna go fast performance read Mopar Muscle.
