I can't say I agree more with you on that..........but it makes it interesting to see what will come out next. I don't mind the daytona editions, rumble bee editions, and the charger I like, but come on a 4 door...........when the challenger hits, I'll let you know how it runs, that 6.1 should push it pretty good.

I agree on a few and disagree on others. Charger should of been what the Challenger is, but the Challenger is going to be 100% bad *** and true to the classic muscle car.

And besides Chevy is no worse, *cough* GTO.

Hey golden velvet..........I have you know that I have that exact car, 1985 model, same color with 45,000 miles and in awesome condition. I have turned down 10 grand for it twice....!!! I also have the newer years of the shelby cars, a 1987 Daytona shelby z. With the Z I can assure you one thing, I have put quite a few muscle cars to shame, that includes the vette, stangs, z-28s, TA ws6's. I have a ton in it parts wise, but don't ever underestimate the shelby cars. I have an 11 second one and there is several in the 11s, a few in the 10s, and one in the 9s that I know of, all quarter mile times. BTW, mitsu didn't get involved til the late 80s, this car is all dodge!!!! You can get a crate 2.2 pushing over 500 HP and 400 ft lbs. My 87 Z is all forged, pushing close to that with 30 lbs. of boost all the time............a headgasket every year is no problem! I also just had a 1990 VNT Daytona stolen from here at our farm shop, been gone a month now and no sign of it anywhere.

Dating back to the late 80s when these cars where in prime, smoking mustangs and camaros was no problem!

Dont get me wrong I really like the early Dodge trubo cars. My favorite is the Conquest TSI. But I think the funnest would be on Omni because they just dont look quick.. But they have good motors and I light weight. I it would be a blast to take out a 4 door Omni to the ricer hang outs and just destroy them.

I got a video of a glh omni smoking a Z06, boy is it funny...........the vette guy was like WTF?? Thats what I'll be doing tomorrow if the weather permits, smoking some rice and a few mustangs and what ever else shows up! They all laugh at me when they see me pull up, then I power brake to about 2500 RPMs and it sounds like a jet building thrust, then it leaps like a frog and its gone! I just had it out a few ago and smoked a few crustangs riding around on it in town and bought it back home. I need to get some pics of it up on here, just hadn't got around to it yet. Speaking of the omnis, have you seen the value on those lately, one just went in our shelby club for close to 15K. Its the next cars in the dodge line to go up, just hit 20 years old and the average person can't afford the older mopar cars now with the price so high on them, so they step to the turbo dodge side now. Still cheap to build and operate if you get in and do some wrenching on your own. I've got one running 11s that if I had of listened the first time I'd only have about 6K in it tops, but I cooked a motor (hydralocked) and I guess I have around 11K in it now.
