My Truck
hey im drew, not new to tech but new to this tab. ive got a 93 hawk but my truck is my daily. its a 2006 Dodge Dakota Night Runner. its got the 4.7, 4x4, power all ect and so on. i bought it new in 06. since ive done quite a bit. besides all the night runner options available (including 2 tone interior, black chrome wheels, and a lot of black accents inside and out) ive added quite a bit. ive added a leer 700 series fiberglass tonneau, bedrug, factory rear mud guards (came with fronts but not rears, its a special order item), converted exterior lights to led, silverstar high/low/fogs, black shorty antennea, black powdercoated nerf bars (steps), k&n filter, 2" front leveling kit (raise), toyo open contry a/t's 275/65/17, 5% tint brow, 15% tint over rest of truck (rear is about 3% bc the 15 is over stock tint), fire & ice led tailgate bar), bug guards, rain guards, taillight covers. i have a borla muffler with corsa clone tips. i think it sounds great.

and actually guys, earlier this week my taillight covers flew off while i was movin home from school. ive always wanted to niteshade my lights since i had my 1st vehicle 5 years ago but i was always afraid to f somethin up. anyway i figured this would be a great time to finally do it. i ordered some that night. i got it in the mail this mornin and went to work. my process was
remove taillights and cargo light from truck
clean with alcohol
scuff up with 400 grit while wet sanding
applied a few coats
lightly wet sanded
applied a few more coats
lightly wet sanded again
applied the last coat of clear
total i had 7 coats, 4 of them were medium layers of niteshade and 3 coats were clear. i planned on wet sanding after the final coat of clear with 1000 grit but i thought it came out pretty well and didnt need it. anyway, here are the pics of the finished product. i think i like it better than my covers anyway. oh and before that, im posting a link to a vid of my exhaust
