Default 1/4 mile breakdown

This is from a thread from ls1tech.
Thought this might interest some readers. Everyone knows how important the short time is in racing. Here's another way to look at it to help emphasize that. Below is a breakdown of the percentage of time spent per section of the 1/4 mile.

Timeslip -

60 - 1.341
330 - 3.969
660 - 6.187
1000 - 8.111
1320 - 9.780

Separate the track into the 4 approximately equal timed sections of 330, 660, 1000 and 1320 to establish the percentage of time spent in each section. Here's what the timeslip above equates to in percentages of time spent in each section of the track.

0 - 330 = 40.58%
330 - 660 = 22.68%
660 - 1000 = 19.67%
1000 - 1320 = 17.07%

This helps to confirm how important it is about getting as much power to the ground as possible in the start of the run. Nothing new or groundbreaking, just another way to look at drag racing.

I've never seen it before either but in practice it seems to work out pretty well.

Justin, you gonna have the truck running this weekend? Should only take 4-5 hours to remove the covers and put them back.
