Default 1/4 Mile times finally!

12.58
109.1mph
8.11 1/8th
87.2mph
1.77 60'
This was on 28x10.5 Hoosier Quicktime DOT Pros and easing off the line at 2500 to keep my axle wrap down due to not having my caltracs yet. This Dump Truck tranny gear spacing sucks. I've got to get a T56. MPH would have been better but the 3rd-4th drop is horrindous. This was all done in full weight with my 20's on the front, spare tire, towing hitch and a few extra tools on board.
Oh yeah and a Stock Clutch. To all the people that say these 5 speeds and tranny's are sooooooo weak, Just what would you have to do to a 4l60e to hold up to running that kind of times? Sorry Had to.
Might have a low 12.?? one day with some weight reduction, driving it a little harder, and some cool weather. It was in the upper 70's yesturday.

Thanks.
The rev limit is at 6500 and I still lack about 150' at the end of the track. It's a little too much to get 3rd all the way through. The 28" tall tire is part of the problem. Like I said before, 3rd gear is too low.

Nice times!! I would have never thought you could run that fast with that trans, as slow as they shift. Were you running 30# timing with the meth? No KR? I had 22# up top with no meth, but VP 103. I think it could have taken a little more, too.

Thanks man. Yeah, that was with 30* timing till 6k then 26* above that. That was with 90% meth and 93 octane. My Intake temps were around 125 before the runs and 172 at the top end and no KR.

For next year, I'm thinking about going with a 3.1, or even 3.0 pulley, and meth kit to be able to run more timing and/or pump gas. I kind of like using race gas, but at $10/gal. it gets awful expensive!

I've run race gas off and on for years but never again. It is insane. I will just have to run slower. I've found that if you never go to it with a project then you seldom have the urge. But if you have run faster with it, it is as bad as running Nitros, you've always got to have it.

Sure enough. I'm going to try and gets some Caltracs soon so I can actually launch the thing without worrying about axle wrap taking out u-joints. Might actually take the tools out of the truck next time too. I'll be down at the dyno on the 26th and maybe we can get some more out of it then.
