i went to super chevy this weekend and saw a truck with the two bars going out the back, but under the glass and through the bed. I dont know how legal that is or not, but it looked alot cleaner.

Also, I noticed you're extended cab. You shouldnt have to have any bars out the back at all.

It is not legal unless it goes through the back glass on a sc.

Also for a cage to be legal guys the mid bar has to go between your elbow and shoulder if you DD your truck a cage is not practical at all.

What I plan to do since HRP is very strict, is go to an 1/8th get everything dialed in then go to some po-dunk 1/4 track and see how far I can push them then head to HRP where teh track is good and the best D/As in the US and then get kicked out where I have the best chance of hitting the best time. Also you may find some tracks the a bit more lax on the rules and may let you slip by into the 10s. Parish did it for a while and a track back AL would let you get by without one, you could run 12s without a helmet too

I have never heard of nor seen a cage in an EC truck. There are trucks that need them for sure, but they've always seemed to be able to slide. You shouldn't have to have the down tubes exit out the back window, but they will obstruct the rear seat and they might possibly have to exit the cab near the bottom. As for the side bars, just get some swing outs and while you're just cruising around daily, take them out. You won't have to mess with them or slide over them.
