Default 12.7 not too happy

well i finally took it the drag strip last night..only got to run 3 times..best was a 12.7 at 109 mph..with spraying at the end of 1st gear..it was 95 degrees out

rt- .811
60- .2.058
330- 5.446
1/8- 8.263
mph- 86.61
1000- 11.761
1/4 12.78
mph 109.51

how much could i lose with running slicks and spraying closer off the line..i was past 60' when i hit the nitrous

your dyno was 450/460 right? What were you expecting? Your 60' is a 2.06. You running the 20"er's on there? 109mph is (could be) a 12.5ish run with a better 60'er.

Good ET/MPH. I know back when I was using stock tires, spraying at the beginning of 2nd gear was only dropping my ET by 2 tenths but I'd gain 6-7 mph. I was running 14.3s vs. 14.1s and finally a 13.9 by spraying at the end of first gear. All of this was on a 75 shot.

Bumped it up to a 100 shot a month later and stuck on some MT 255/16 et radials and it dropped to a 12.9 with a 1.8 60'.

Are you going to gain a full second? Probably not, but the answer is yes when asked, will you gain ET by spraying out of the hole as opposed to at the end of first gear. IF you can hook of course.

The 60' is where it's at.

No doubt. For a book mark, check out BlueCajun's 12.5 @ 106 with a 1.7 60'.

Jeez, I'd be happy with a 12.7 right now, especially on a 95* run!

i guess for havin a 5000+ pound truck with 95 degree weather and 20's and bein my first time at the track aint too bad..I'll just get some slicks and go back sometime..im happy to see 12's but but i wanted to see 12.5 or lower..i only got to make 3 runs..2 with nitrous..my other run with nitrous was a 13.4 i tried to hit the nitrous out of the hole just to see what it would do..i just spun way past the 60'ft mark and i was still tryin to feather it

weather doesnt really effect a nitrous motor, its not called "atmosphere in a bottle" for nothing. I have seen trucks drop almost 2 seconds in the quarter with a 125 shot in nasty humid/hot weather.
