4.8's can be fast, but my truck is heavy,a DD and my options are very limited on the island. If there was a 6L available, it would have been my first choice. I am glad with all my mods...it is faster than my Denali! lol

i am running 30.5 street tires on heavy 22's and they still spun real bad off the line. i ran them at 35 psi however and next time and def going to air down to 30 as that seems to be what most people are running. i have a friend who has a portable compresser. would u reccomend i go lower if i still spin bad? also, i know these tires are never going to tru hook so i am looking for set of stock rims and dr's. just would like to catch a little more traction for the time being lol

I am gonna try a lower pressure. from 35 down to 30, you probably wouldnt see a difference. I am thinking get the tire pressure down until the tire bulges a bit and roll with it.

Well the drag racing gods of Guam finally stopped the rain long enough for me to drag last night. Turns out my little 4.8 still smoked the hell out of the tires no matter what I tried. I tried to start without stalling up the engine...no go. I tried to feather the throttle...no go. Fastest time I pulled with my peg leg was 16.3 I am looking for my locker now. The diesel truck showed up too...he got his engine dialed in and walked me every time. He has a two wheel drive 5 speed Cummins with mud tires and exhaust stacks.
So I will let the races stop for awhile until I get my locker. I am thinking of running the Powertrax. I had one in my previous Silverado, they are easy to install and work pretty good. I might have to do some horse trading for some drag radials or slicks. I think Nissan runs the same bolt pattern, just a smaller rim.

Corrected I am in the 15's, but want to be there uncorrected. All the locals are running mid 15's in their nissan's and toyota's. We will see when I find a locker. Traction first...then might have to look into the funny gas.

Got a link for Ron's? I have been searching on Ebay and the cheapest I found for a gear/locker package was around $600. I would like to bring it up to a 4.10/4.11 and a locker.
