Be careful when you buy the steel wheels. I talked to MRW and their wheels have like 13.5 inch centers. With 6.5in b/s the inner bell of the wheel would never clear the calipers. Bogart centers are like 14.5 inches I think.

I ran the MT 28 x 11.5 x 16 for like 2 years at the track on the stock 16 x 7 wheels without any issues. I read that for every inch wider the rim was over the stock 7" I would gain about .23" in contact patch so I went out and bought some 16 x 10 to use for the track. I have ran it that way twice but have not noticed any improvement as of yet. I did gain a tenth and a half but I also used skinnier(225 vs 295) and shorter(28" vs 31") front tires.

I do think I have a little better traction now though it just did not give me any better times because I has good traction before. I will try and brake stall it to 2K next time out and see if that helps. With my old setup I could not brake stall at all or the tires would break loose.

If you want I can post some pics of the wheels I just got. Also, I have two extra since I bought four but only needed two for the rear. I am looking for the same wheel but in a 16 x 7 or 8 for the front to match.

I took them today after I got back from the truck so they were not mounted but a guy at the track took some videos of my truck racing and is going to e-mail them to me. You can see them in action in the video, lol. I cut 1.82-1.89 60ft's all day without skipping a beat. I picked up a tenth by stalling to 1500 on the last runs.

Rodney I have a set of 16x8 Black Soft 8's on my M/T's and they are a heavy wheel but they look good. Been wanting some Bogarts but funds are to low to Blow 2k on a set of wheels just for drag use.

Everyone has soft 8's. Can anyone post a pic of them on a truck. How far do they stick out in the 16X8 size?
