Default 2009 Ram R/T...13.77 stock

It's lowered, I had the wheels painted black, the windows tinted, it's debadged, but it's absolutely bone stock performance wise. The lowering kit actually added weight, because the aluminum spindles were replaced with steel spindles.

Dodge didn't make many R/Ts in '09. Basically its a 2wd rcsb 5.7 ram with a higher stall converter and 4.10 gears. Shifting is a little more agressive too.

I ran it on the Power Tour at Bristol, and the best time was 14.6....on 87 octane and in pretty much the worst drag racing conditions there are. The corrected time was actually 14.0 @ 96.

I've been waiting for some good weather and some free time to hit the strip again, and today was it. Went up to Lapeer with a buddy(he actually ended up driving the truck) and got a few runs in.

I was hoping for 13s, and we ended up getting a best of 13.75 @ 99.8!!! That was with the air filter removed and using tow/haul. I don't think the filter did much, but the tow/haul kept it in 3rd longer.

With the air filter in place, so stock down to the air pressure in the tires(including the spare lol), the best time was 13.77 @ 98. I was pretty stoked to say the least. Someone got a vid of that run(and a 13.8 run where the truck beat a supercharged(v6) mustang, hopefully they will be up soon!

Dodge hasn't exactly been forthcoming with info, but my guess is somewhere around 2800. I can brake stall it up to 2500

Not really. It spun slightly but just about right.

The problem with these trucks is the torque management out of the hole. It's not even funny how completely de-tuned it is from a dig. Just now some tuners are coming out that can completely get rid of it, but then the trans is on borrowed time. I'm pretty happy with it as it is right now, even if it is a dog(for a 390hp/407ftlb truck) out of the hole.

Great times! I see 12's with a tune, and tires. Sounds like that converter is similar to the Cherokee SRT8, they seem to flash up pretty good. Looks like toyota isn't top dog anymore for the stock pickup. Now GM needs to pull their head out of ther *** and stick a L92, or even a L76 in a RC.
