2014 6.2l Supercharged transmission question.
I'm putting this post here because i figure some of you guys may have come across this issue.
so i am the first person to get the edelbrock SC in my 2014 sierra. its making 624 hp and 600 tq at the flywheel and about 535 hp at the wheels.
i have a 4x4 truck and i want to know how risky is it to do a 4wd launch?
every bit of me says its a bad idea. but i already know its going to have major wheel spin in 2wd
all i want to do is before i head back to colorado with it, make a couple runs from the shoulder of the highway with my iPhone app to get an idea of what kind of 0-60 times i can get assuming i have the traction for it.
how strong is the 4wd system? i did launches like this in my toyota tacoma with TRD SC with no issues.
the GMC has a clutch coupled front axel so i am assuming if anything were to give the clutch may slip a little.
but am i going to hurt the transfer case or front axel?
i know some of you have probably done 4wd launches at a track and i just want to know if any of you have broken anything or know someone who has doing this.
thanks

I beat the crap out of my '07 and never had an issue with a built 4L60 and stock transfer case. 1.69 60' on 20's. There are people running 9's on stock 4wd setups with built trans. Some have cut 1.3x's 60's on stock 4wd. Have no experience with the 6L80 but I understand its fairly stout.
