I run the same Hoosier on a 16x10 and it hooks great... They do need a good burnout... Anything else you do to that suspension will only help.

My burnout is a 2nd gear, 70ish mph for ~5sec. There is enough smoke that depending on wind direction, I have to wait for it to clear to keep from prematurely tripping the staging beams.

I agree. I have the Hoosier slicks on a 10" wheel and they always produce 1.5 sixtys unless the track prep is gone. I also run the ET Streets on a stock rim with the same results. Both are awesome tires for my setup.

I got these 10" wheels for $88 each from a clearance sale. They are Pro Comp Xtreme brand.

Sorry Rodney, I have not as the wheels have not come in yet, plus the truck is currently on jack stands in the garage getting suspension upgrades and new exhaust. I am really hoping they come in this week so I can test everything together this sunday at my local 1/8 mile (which always has mediocure prep). If not, I will be testing just the suspension work with the hoosiers on stock wheels. I hate that I will not be able to get any apples to apples comparisons on just the rim change.

Are those bias ply ET Streets or the ET Street radials? What size? I also have a set of 28x11.50x16 ET Streets my brother brought me this past weekend. I will probablly put those and my 295/50/16 radials on some stock wheels and bring them with me to the shootout.

EDIT: Nevermind on the suspension question; I searched and saw you have a 4-link.

I say slick too. save the radial for street use. I like my 28/10/16, but its on a 16x8. I am going to a 16x10 or 15x10 sooner or later.

Also, what is your rear suspension setup? Looking at the pic, looks like stock leafs, relocated QA1s and a swaybar?
I use the stock rims with ET Radials, 255/50/16. The suspension is a cheap-made to fit 4 link, sway bar and QA1's. Yes it all needs to be cleaned and painted !!

You mentioned that your slicks with the stock rims causes the rearend to sway on the top end. I have that same problem but like folks have said above a wider rims will help also running a set of skinnies up front will also help. Running a slick out back with a street tire up front is a nig NO NO but we are all guilty of it. Big and littles FTW
