I'm glad you agree with me about how much better my scanner is.

We're trying to find some smaller slicks to run on some old 15 inch wheels that he has. That should make a little bit of difference.

Not really a good comparison, but switching from the stock 17s to the new Escalade 22s on my truck cost me a tenth in the 60' and 4 tenths and 3 MPH in the 1/8. They were 30lbs heavier per wheel.

Going from the Tahoe 20s to a 15inch steel wheel with a slick or ET street would likely be a lot more than 30lbs. Plus give him even more gear over the 31inch tall tires that are on there now.

Actually i wasn't, honestly i can't stand HPtuners, no offense... I used to have both installed on my laptop just so i could view some of the HPtuners logs and tunes... IMO the HPTUNER tune and scan tool is not very user friendly escpecially the scan tool, trying to make a custom MAP (histogram) is just a PIA not to mention creating a filter... Last time my laptop crashed i never reinstalled it... But like i said that is a personal preference...

I dunno man i would still look into some tuning issues... Before I added my heads and current cam, i was running a 220 114+4 cam and I could cut 2.00 60ft and 8.7 or 9.0 (honestly i can't remember it was along time ago) 1/8th with my street tire which at the time were 30.5 tall.... From that screen shot it looks like that truck lags a good while before the power comes in...

I know what you meant. It doesn't offend me, I didn't design it. I actually have HPTuners because I was pressured into it. I wanted EFIlive, but now I'm used to this and it's fine with me.

I agree that it does lag, but what tuning issues would you suggest I look into. It gives me what I ask of it. No more, no less. And I've tried multiple combinations of timing and AFR and ended up where I'm at. I can see getting the tune as perfect at every RPM as possible and it picking up a tenth or two, but from what everyone in here says that still wouldn't be where it should be. I just think it doesn't have it in it. Be it cam timing or wheel weight, or some combination of things.

With that much stall and gears it should roast those big rubber band tires. I'd first check to see high it will brake stall. Hold the brake and give it gas till the tires start spinning. My 2800 would spin at 2100. Stock would only do like 1000. I would think your 3600 should start spinning around 2800 or 3000. If it will not spin at all you have trans trouble. If it start spinning earlier you might need to have your converter restalled.

I already did. The upload kept failing on this site, so I put it on HPTuners.com and linked it here.

Here's the current one:

And the stock one:

I guess you're using the latest beta because when I tried to load the current tune it says the index is outside of the array... I'll install my beta and see if it'll open the file.

hahahahaha... look at the high octane timing table

It's not tuned with beta, but I moved the file over from my laptop to my desktop (which has beta on it)

Yeah i got it open with my beta. Taking a quick glance I can't see anything that stands out, but i'll look at it some more when I get back from lunch.

I thought that HO timing should stand out. I made it especially for IH8FORD. It looks cooler in the graph view.
