Default 4.8 nitrous record broken!!!!!!

Well hit the track last nite in my buddys 83 c-10 ls conversion truck to try the some mods we had made on the truck and never expected what she hit. She did 11.3 @119 60ft was 1.59 I think 7.27 1/8. Nev er neve r expected that cause she had troubles from the launch shifted into 2nd gear but managed the times.
Mods fbo,230/236 cam 4k pi stall
We switched over from a tnt f2 to a vic jr with elbow and a nx plate kit.
Btw truck had went 13.2 motor and 11.9 with the tnt 150

congrats. why a 4.8 swap instead of a bigger motor? just to see how far a 4.8 would go? great times any how.

Making good times but I wondered the same thing. Why swap the 4.8? I know there are a million reasons but curious what yours was.

would have a mid 10 truck if you started with a 6.0. But i suppose if you have a 4.8 that runs 11.3 you might be able to win more money on the street then a 6.0 that runs mid 10s.

Holy cow that is moven man! its kind of crazy how far these new ls engines have come.. 11.3 in a stock long block 4.8... One thing that seems to shy people away is that its in an older truck.. whats the waight and any pics? and what size shot?

Awesome Job for sure man. Why size shot was that? Also any idea on the weight of the truck? Keep up the good work though, got a few trucks knocking on the 10 second door with 4.8's.
