Default 79 C10 goes 11.97
I bought a 79 C10shortbox Silverado in May and pulled the stock 454 out and put a 496 in with a 4000stall and 3.73 gears. On a 28" slick it dead hooked to a 1.67 60'@111 mph
I was very pleased.

You got a fast truck for sure,I got my truck down to 11.67@114 and I'm shooting for 11.50's with a shorter tire

Ran a new best today 11.57@115 on the shorter 26" slick,it really woke it up with my 3:73 gear
