Default front tires

I have had GREAT luck with Sportsman Pro Tires on my truck ..They drive very well on the street... I would say an 8 of 10 given i went from a 8+" patch of tire to a 4.5 or so.... I just sold the 26" tires tonight ... have a new set of 28s and send of 29 fronts on the way... I keep working on getting the "look" of my truck better .... I just went to a 30" rear tire... if you decide on a 28/15 in front i have a pair...

Are the Colorado spares steel or aluminum. If they're steel, then there probably won't be much lighter than stock. If you do get a hold of one, post up the weight please.

You wouldn't have any pics of any of those tires mounted on the truck would you?

Thanks,
Austin

Hope to have a pic by friday night. All coming in fed-x, gonna be tight to get it all mounted and on the trailer ready to go by early Saturday morning.

The weight I will only be able to get with the tire mounted. It is a steel rim but only 4" wide. It will prob come in at 30 lbs with the tire. My fronts now are 58 lbs. Still a big loss off the nose. I will pull the sway bar and bumper too and see what slicks and cold air can do for me. All going to be on the sixty foot and traction thru first gear.

Man those wheels look weird! But they will def. help ET wise. That's alot of rotating mass you got rid of. Lookin forward to your times today.

Well guys, fell short of my goal. The slicks apparently were too wide for a 10" rim and it was swerving all over the track. Thank goodness I brought my old ET radials..ran a best of 11.51 on the slicks, 3 runs total (2 runs aborted half way down the track). Changed out the tires and ran 11.3 @ 117 and then a 11.17 @ 118 mph. Will have vids tomorrow. My eight mile was 7.05, sixty foot was 1.57. Still can't let the TC flash, having to slowly press the gas. I'm still sittin on 2-3 tenths in first gear. What a fun day !!!
