Man , no BS but your truck is what it's all about. Forced induction on a basically stock LS engine and in a factory truck. How awesome . GM trucks are factory hot rods waiting to be unleashed !!

My dad has asked how much faster my truck would be in 2 wheel drive, I'm not sure, what do you think 4x4 is robbing us? It's the only way to launch IMO, but I'd like to try a run with slicks, but afraid the 10 10 bolt won't take it.

Thoughts??

Also I run my stock wheels also at the track, with 265 tires, do you think dropping down to smaller tires like say 245's or 235's would help on the big end?

I plan to do some testing on mine to try and figure out how much loss I have with 4wd next time I goto the track

I ET'ed in my signature in 4WD compared to 14.5 in 2WD same day but I was foot braking it at higher rpm launch in 4WD, stock TC. Also, mph was better in 4WD. Track very slippery.

Stock TC, truck inatke, small camshaft, full weight and 31" tire. Also, 60' was bad launching off the foot brake with stock TC through 3" Varex muffler. Check my time slip in an other thread and you will know. 2640ft high.

You should be much faster, tuned crew cab 4wd 6.2 trucks are running your times even with all the things you name off. Stock 5.3 trucks with full bolt ons have ran your times. Im not ******* you, just saying the things you listed are not why your truck is running so slow for having a 7L under the hood. With a small cam and that much motor you should have PLENTY of low end tq to overcome a stock converter. My old 418 with a 237/242 cam still had plenty of low end.

Was there anything out there that could keep up with you?

I'm more interested in the trap speed, more consistent and indicative of power to the ground

Thank's man! I've actually always been a NA guy up until now, and NA is still where my heart is but just got tired of everyone running nos, or a blower, or turbo against me so I finally caved lol. I've tested 2wd vs 4wd on my truck in 1/8 mile and it's 2-3mph slower in 4x4 on a good track. On a shitty track my truck will haze the whole way in 2wd and actually loose mph. That's on my little bias 28" et streets with front end tight and no traction bars or anything. A set of 30" radial slicks with caltracs and there would be no hazing. I lose about 1.5 to 2 mph with the 4 bias ply 28x11.50 et streets vs my stock 245/17's in 4x4. The bias ply et's up front really kill my mph. My 370/pt88 trapped 146mph on the 245's.
