I have 4.56 gears and a 28" tire. Might try a 29" at some point

this is coming from a lightning guy but i dont forsee you going from 12.0s on motor into 9s on spray and if it did i dont think you would drive it back home. just my o2 but if you get it to hook possible a mid- high 10 on a 350 shot.

I can see going 10's, but to get into that 9 sec area your are talking alot more HP.. def need to lose more then the ac seat, wheels.. You would need a sub 3800lb truck with a driver imo.. And hope the 5.3 stays together, even being forged, made for a good shot.. I would think you would need atleast 750 whp to get deep 10's giving you had a 37xx lb race weight..

a few friends with lightnings running 10.1s-10.3s are making around 700-730rwhp and shade over 800rwtrq and weighting 4400-4600lbs. from fightning with my truck trying to get 10s if you cant get the 60' down its very very hard for a 10sec slip. my best 60' spinning is 1.62 and netted me a 11.09 in warm weather. i now have 12way adjustable QA1 shocks and waiting to put on and get back to the track.

A 5.3 is not going to make that kinda tq. That is def helping get them down the 1/4.. Sounds like some pretty nasty L's

A guy already went 10.7 on a 250 shot... I don't know about hitting 9's but I think if it can 60' below 1.6 and hold the 350 shot, it should be pretty deep in the 10's.

I think you can do it, it wont be EZ.
I'd spend a money on valve train head work and plan on spinning the motor to 8,000+ RPM rember 350 HP shot of nitrous is 700 tq
Also you need the truck to 60ft even if it means adding weight to you tail gate or rear bumper.

yes u are right a friend went 10.7 on a 250 oh his stock 5.3 could of done better but got kicked out....Amadeo (spike) said he made a mistake with the tunning byhaving the truck shift before getting to the finish line also so that hurt it quite a bit, i have alot better heads, more compression, probly going to be launching of a trans break no sure on that though a more carefully speced out cam so we will try geting there this is good info you guys are posting......Guess she will be going on a diet will keep u guys updated once we start making some test runs

do you know what that 5.3 ran off the bottle that went 10.7s?
