this is coming from a lightning guy but i dont forsee you going from 12.0s on motor into 9s on spray and if it did i dont think you would drive it back home. just my o2 but if you get it to hook possible a mid- high 10 on a 350 shot.

I can see going 10's, but to get into that 9 sec area your are talking alot more HP.. def need to lose more then the ac seat, wheels.. You would need a sub 3800lb truck with a driver imo.. And hope the 5.3 stays together, even being forged, made for a good shot.. I would think you would need atleast 750 whp to get deep 10's giving you had a 37xx lb race weight..

I think you can do it, it wont be EZ.
I'd spend a money on valve train head work and plan on spinning the motor to 8,000+ RPM rember 350 HP shot of nitrous is 700 tq
Also you need the truck to 60ft even if it means adding weight to you tail gate or rear bumper.

yes u are right a friend went 10.7 on a 250 oh his stock 5.3 could of done better but got kicked out....Amadeo (spike) said he made a mistake with the tunning byhaving the truck shift before getting to the finish line also so that hurt it quite a bit, i have alot better heads, more compression, probly going to be launching of a trans break no sure on that though a more carefully speced out cam so we will try geting there this is good info you guys are posting......Guess she will be going on a diet will keep u guys updated once we start making some test runs
