Default Air filter

Who pulls the air filter when they run at the track?? Im thinking of a custom ram air for track use only but havent really thought of a filter box and think a filter would hinder flow. BUT at the track most all cars run open carbs so why not open tubes

I did when I had the true flow intake. Ran the exact same time as with the filter in. Never tried it with the K&N intake.

so it would be ok to build a custom intake for track use only without a filter. i want to build an intake because mine gets really choked up in the bend before the throttlebody, and a good ramair setup usually has some nice gains with it.
