So 4x4 truck is in the sig.

I am running slicks for the first time in 2wd next month and I am trying to figure out what to run for tire pressures as a starting point. I will be running Hoosier 28x10.5/15's. I will be spraying 125 out of the hole on the converter. There isnt many guys around here with trucks that run slicks and none that I know that I trust.

Get a good tire pressure gauge and i'd start at 18 or so cold. If it spins drop air one pound at a time till you find a sweet spot. The goal is to run as much air as you can and hook.

I agree 18 psi is a good place to start.

This is exactly what I do. It is rare that I have to drop below 18 lbs. Check the tire pressure after the truck sits for a while. If one side is in the sun and the other is not the tire in the sun will increase pressure. Sometimes it will be as much as 4-5 lbs.
