IS there anyone with a 5.3 with nitrous running faster than 7.5 in the 1/8? What is your setup?

Mine went 7.33 on a 200 shot. On a perfect November day in San Antonio it went 7.49 on a 100 shot. It would have went 7.20's on a 200 shot but broke on the 2nd launch.

Thats really good times for a truck. What kind of rims are you running, are you still 6 lug? Also what did you break? Im building a truck for one of my customers and there goal is a 7.0. I was thinking, 6.0, full bolt ons, 3.73's small cam and 200 shot.

15 x 8 6 lug, I ground and relocated the calipers.

I broke the rear end in San Antonio, that was #3. Detroit Truetrack cured that problem.
I broke 2 custom driveshafts, 3 transmissions, and the last time it went lean, burned the ground straps off the plugs and blew a head gasket. I've got forged Mahle pistons in the new set up and they lived.

Nitrous likes compression and a big cam. A friend of mine went 7.1's w/ a 6.0 at 11:1 cr, what I would call a medium cam around 230/236 600/600 114, and a 175 shot. The truck had more in it at that level but it wouldn't 60'.
