I haven't done heads or cam yet, but I would think it could drop my times .8 or more easy depending on cam choice

4.88 gears are STEEP! lol I bet that thing rips your face off from a dig with tires. 4.30's are all I want.

I went 12.62 at near sea level..Setup was 04 ls1, 212/216 cam,lt's,prc 5.3 heads,tt2600,4:10 gears,built60e,tru-trac,275/55/17 street tires..

Now I have added a EPS 222/226 cam, tbss intake/90mm tbody,converter re-stalled to 3000ish by Yank,efans,udp..and it feels stronger

Also FWIW, I honestly liked the power band better with the little 212/216 cam

I must say that the cheap *** fuddle was my favorite converter. tight as hell and 1.68 60' times N/A. it was a 3200 that would only brake stall to about 2000. from there i tried 3600, 4000 and 4200 and could never get past that 3200 fuddle time wise. even with 30+ more HP and torque.if this FTI converter doesnt do what i want in the s10 i may sell it and pick me up a $300 fuddle

That's awesome for street tires. My heads are stock 2006 243's milled 0.030". I don't know if they'll do as well as your PRC's lol.

this thread makes me miss my ls1...my 6.0 and 408 days were short lived and shitty experiences lol. that LS1 took a beating and seemed to run better and better the more i abused it. i would probably still have my truck if i didnt scatter that motor.

I wanted a 6.0 before I bought the LS1. It's funny, the 6.0 is worth it's weight in gold and the LS1's are falling by the wayside. I got my motor from my best friend for CHEAP. 90,000 mile 2001 shortblock (LS6 block too lol) for $300, the 243's with PRC springs for $300, and I got the cam from SDPC for retail. I couldn't find a 200,000 mile LQ4 around here for that cheap.

you'll be surprised how well those heads will work in stock form, dark halo and myself would run each other saturday in saturday out at evadale headsup and we stayed neck and neck the whole time, most if not all runs were decided on the reaction time i having the edge

you probably had the strongest ls1 i ever seen, she was a beast, i hated when i sold my lq9 just knocking on wood my 408 and been running just as hard as the stocker did even with a big bump stick

i feel i sold my lq4 for a decent price at 1800 since it had less than 10k miles and the harness and computer was sold with it.
