I have a 02 avalanche z71 it has a LQ9 ,160 stat, trick flow UD pully, K&N intake, flexalite 282 fans, Taylor pro thunder volt wires , p&p BBK 80 mmTB, dynatech longtubes and highflow catted Y with Gibson cat back, tranny is a4l65e lvl 5 built by Vince when he was still at FLT with a yank 2600 stall with B&M tanny cooler , rears are 410 s with a eaton posi unit all this on stock 17 and last but not least a Nelson tune with TM all off so after all this info my qeustion is what should it run in a 1/4 . I would love to find out myself but I work two jobs and my little spare time is spent with my family so its difficult to run it any info would be appreciated

Just a random shot it the dark. Might be low 14s?

Why do you have a 160* stat? I can see that only hurting performance from being too cold.

I always though cooler was better and i was once told that if u play with timing and fuel curves it better to having a little cooler to try to prevent early deton.but I'm definitely no expert . I'm sure that some of u guys on here have more knowledge in your left nut than I do when it comes to truck performance. but even thou it's a 160 the truck hovers around 200 according to my dash gauge

I would think anything lower then 180 is more hurt then help. Cooler is better to an extent but as with everything, you can go to far.

If I remember correctly Justin told me anything lower then 180 he didn't recomend because it wouldn't help.

Any other thoughts on times I know alot of you are running LQ-9 s and I'm really hoping I'm faster than a 07 tundra 5.7 stock with 20 s and extracab and a 8 ft bed I have this import lover who want to run but I want to make sure I got him

If Ur lucky a high 14. But low 15s seem reasonable.
