I want to run some events that will surely require a cage. Anyone DD a caged truck? has anyone went through the roof above the glass for the bars off the top hoop? I can have the door bars "pinned" so they are removed for daily use right. In the early stages of this obviously. I did search. Not much on this site about cages. Guess you take it to a chasis shop and walla... your done.

i dont DD my truck but the cage isnt big deal..... you get used to it. i actually get into other rucks just like i get into mine now out of habit.

mine is all inside he cab since its ext. cab tho

Mine has rollbar and I remove side bars except for track use so there's no difference. Only thing That gets annoying Is 4 point harness but I found universal retractable 3 point seat belts I will be adding.

i daily drive my truck with a roll bar. its a 4 door so all my bars are inside too. i dont have swingouts but i will put them in once i get it made into a full cage, mine is kinda tight and dont think i could make it with another bar in the way lol

Like everybody said other than the door bars you would not even notice it..... now on a 69 Fastback where the halo was built just a touch too low you were fully aware for obvious reassons!
