Default Converter to tight?

I have a Yank Pro 3200 stall in my truck w/ 3.73's. The truck traps 90 mph in the 1/8 with only a 1.89 60ft. The cam is a comp cam 224/230, .585.590 lift on a 114 ls. 6.0 is all stock except for the cam and pushrods. I run a 29.5 slick. The truck just feels lazy till 4500 or so, its a small cam and the power should come in well before that. On the scanner it shows it stalls 3200 on the dot before you see the mph pick up.

wow thats a great MPH. get the 60' down and you will see some impressive times. maybe try a 28X10" slick instead of the 29.5

I havent sprayed the full 1/8 mile yet, it traps 98 mph on a small shot spraying it after the 60ft. All with the same 1.89 60 ft

Another question I have is how much power have you made and NOT broke the stock axles? I broke the stock(g80) limmited slip the first pass I made on spray hitting it out of the hole. It had 162,000 miles on it so I was not in shock. I put some "Superrior Gears and Detroit Tru Trac" in it but now I'm scared of the stock axles breaking. Gun Shy is the proper words I guess...lol

You said it feels lazy. I was suggesting that you take a camera. and video tape your speedometer while you launch so we can see what your seeing.
But if you have HPT just log a run and post it up.

I don't think you'll have problems with the axles. That G80 is prone to breaking tho.

trapping 90, n/a? if so thats really good. i trap 86 with a 1.9 60' and my converter feels too tight also, but your cam is bigger.

BTW viciousknid was asking for a video of your speedometer...

my stall is a yank ss3200

flaco went 9.5 on the stock axle...once hahahaa. he hit plenty of high 9's in the 1/4 though so dont sweat your rear end at all. the g80 is a POS.
