When I had bolt ons it would shift out of 4wd back into 2wd under power but after the nitrous and cam then later the 418 it wouldnt do it anymore just stay stuck in 4hi. In 05 they changed the autotrac so maybe thats why trever is able to shift out of 4hi under power.

My 2000 will shift out at WOT between first and second gear........

Hmm the other 2 Z71s that I have been that are modified, both are older then 05 and wont shift out of 4hi at WOT, one with h/c/i full bolt ons and a 5.3 and the other had h/c LQ4

With that slow of a truck with that tall of a gear, how can you be having traction problems? A 15 second truck doesn't need a 4wd launch. You must be pre-loading it too hard or something. As for the headers causing a loss of torque, I'd bet that's in the programming.

I had a few traction problems with my dodge. I dont stall it up and still had problems. I just make sure to do a long enough burnout and now I dont have any problems.

i mean i did hurt my low end pretty bad you cant even hear my truck till about 25 30 mph. i just think i should be running better than that and it was kinda rattling at around 70 to 85 in 4wd haha.

I don't understand, I would want to brake stall as high as possable. Wouldn't that yield the best 60 foots?

well my friend has a 4door 07 NBS Z71 with only a tune (regular octane) he hit a 15.9....did u retune ur truck after the headers?...and i have another friend with an ext. cab 00 Z71 with a tune (regular octane) and borla muffler and he hit a 15.7

A mid 15 second truck isn't having traction issues.... Headers are a great mod with supporting mods.. IMO...
