Default drag racing questions

i thought i posted this already but i cant find it. ive never really drag raced or had a vehicle with power before, so im looking for some tips when i go to the track. i have an 06 sierra extended cab, 5.3 flex fuel, gibson shorties, cold air intake, cat back exhuast, hd-2 shift kit, corvette and sonnax servos, accumulators, yank tt3000, and a nelson tune on stock tires and suspension. what rpms should i launch at, what range should my 60ft times be in, and whats a realistic time to expect? thanks.

If you can get it to hook up I'd just flat foot it off the line with that 3200rpm converter. i dont like to brake stall my truck. I would shoot for a 2.0 or lower 60ft. time. I have a really good 60 ft. for my truck at a 1.75. Not sure what you would run though. Maybe high 14's.
Just noticed you sig said soon to come on the converter. I'd still just floor it of the line with out trying to brake stall it. Just my opinon though.

maybe try to rev up to about 900rpms, they shouldnt brake loose.

also i was told to put it in 3rd gear off the line... the computer will automatically shift itself, just make sure at the end of the track you bump it back into drive.

tire pressure

take your headlight out, dunno if it works but it takes like 5 seconds... also any weight you could lose id try to ditch w/e

please, don't take this the wrong way but i don't understand where your coming from.

what's the point of putting it in 3rd gear to start off with and putting it back in drive when shutting it down on the big end?
if you want to do that, then just leave it in drive.

the point of starting out in third is to provide more engine braking after finishing the run so your brakes don't get worn out quickly from excessive braking.
