Default Drag tires question.... Need help... Im lost and confused....

MY QUESTION TO YOU FELLOW DRAG RACERS IS...

I AM CURRENTLY LOOKING INTO PURCHASING SOME SLICKS/DRAG RADIALS TIRES FOR MY SILVERADO SS TRUCK... I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS IN THE PAST OR IS CURRENTLY RUNNING SOME "HOOSIER QUICK TIME PRO" TIRES SIZE 28x11.5x16. WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE GOOD TIRES TO PURCHASE BEFORE I ACTUALLY SPEND MONEY ON THEM.
ALSO WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THEY WILL FIT STOCK 16INCH RIMS OF A SILVERADO...

ANY RESPONSE WILL HELP...

I think most of the track guys are using the 26" Hoosiers (you guys tell me if I am wrong). That 28" is too tall of a tire for stock hp. Now if your spraying 200 that might work.
I am running both 26" x 16 Hoosiers and ET Street's 255/50R 16" and didn't get a whole lot of difference....I got a 1.57 sixty on the ET'S AND A 1.54 on the Hoosiers.
Now if you want to wait a couple weeks, I am doing a test on the 23rd with the Goodyear boys and their new Drag Radials coming out soon. They are after the market so it might be worth waiting for my report on how they hooked. We are using my truck for the 16" set.

thats cool , maybe I will wait. just need to figure out how to hook up. Can't 60 ft. for ****. By the way I have a 06 Silverado SS RWD with CAI, Pacesetter LT, no cats, exhaust and a dyno tune. Best 60 ft. was on a set of 305/45R18 Nitto DR, (2.004) .1/8 was 8.842 at 79.14 mph. What do you think?

Alot on here run 28's cause there easier to hook our trucks but most run 4.10's to help make up for the difference. It is easier for pittman hook better 60's with his 4 link on
26's. If you can hook on the short tire you can pull faster times. You should hook on the 255/50/16 et streets. I have ran 7.8's in the 1/8 on them with 3.42's.

Personally I would choose the ET Streets (radial) 255/50 x 16 unless these Goodyears turn out to be the Bomb !! You will probably keep on moding and they hook up great.

I hoping for the best..I want 1.4 sixtys real bad.
