I hear you!!I'm a budget type guy and 5k is killing me because patience isn't my strong point I'm ready to be boosted right now even 20k in a build would kill me take would take me awhile to do I wouldn't even want to imagine 300k.

So I gotta decide. The diesel is already turbo but it has to have a tranny to run harder...weak stock Allison. The '99 needs boost and a tranny but would be quicker for sure just more expensive in the beginning. I need one for a work truck. Hmmm.

The Allison was designed for hard work / towing , not racing , gotta remember that . They are pretty bulletproof when not abused.
But expensive to build I know , got 4500 in mine but she holds power !

amen that's why I quit modding mine , a stock rebuild is like 10k , but I wanted twins bad . Although personally I love the LSx engines more , but it's close haha .
The PPE hot. +2 Xcelerator was the best handheld tuner I've had , it kicks *** and is powerful for a handheld .
But as you know Kyle the EFI live tuning was even better . So I don't think you'll like it better , actually with a stock trans it might de fuel on ya .
How do you like Robs tuning ? I want to try his tuning on my truck , not happy with my current race tune .

Kyle I don't have anything to compare it to but it damn sure woke it up. Tried the 90 before the 160. It ran great just not as strong of course. Runs smooth as factory just a **** ton more power. As I understand it anything more is likely to hurt my stock tranny so I don't even have a lift pump yet. But as you know, EFI rules.
I'm quite happy with Robs tune, feels smooth and STRONG on 5 but I just cruse on 3 most of the time, lol. It's pretty damn stout too! 5 put just at 400hp to the tires on an unloaded Mustang dyno. Rob said with more load on the street, would be more like 430ish. Pretty clean too, gets to just under 1600* in a WOT pull.
Like I said, I'm very happy with it, just wondering if there is anything else out there... Kory told me they have some of the best shifting tunes too. As my tranny is still stock other then the TG Jr and I really don't wanna drop the coin into it to build it. It's never limped it on 5 so I probable should just leave it alone!!
