Well my last time out I couldn't stall above 2k without breaking them loose & getting wheel hop.. I'm headed out Wednesday night to try leaf spring clamps & lower psi. So I give you a better idea after. I do wish I would have bought slicks instead of dr's.

Edit: if I can hit 6's with them I'd be happy.

Just my opinion but I would stick with a radial if you do all four corners. You can get the MT and Hoosier drag radials in the 295/50/16 size. I have two of the MT's in that size but have yet to try them but I have been eyeballing those Hoosier DR's for my 2wd.

Your best bet is to stay in a dot slick if you are going to just use 2 tires. They are more lienient and help with traction better then a DR. Being a truck you want all the help you can get.

I had my 17s widened 2" and my 295s are flush with the rim...absolutely no "bubble". You'll enjoy having traction on the street, well more than you're probably used to. Just be careful on asphalt bc I still spin from a 35-45 roll.

Thank you. I did a search and found some other vids also. From what I can tell, he gives them about a 10 second burnout. Now I need to take the studded tires off and find a spot to datalog a 10 second burnout, and find out what my IAT's do in that timeframe......
