See, I dont know about going to 4:11's or more, right now, at 60 I'm just about cutting about 1750rpmish.

I know thats a lot of cam for the little dude, BUT, I went bigger now so that when or if I got a 6.0 I can swap all the stuff from the 4.8 to to 6.0.

I also weigh 240, and have only pulled my spare tire for 'weight savings'.

Two years ago with just a verter and CAI it went 15.22 at 91mph, I THINK.have to pull my slips to see, Last year the best I got was 14.88 at 102mph, Tune was SUPER rich and I went though a set of plugs, but she mustered though that and got me outta the 15's, This year I sold a bunch of stuff and had a good tax return, so I put close to 3 G's at it in parts with more to come,I wanna see how far I can take this 100K mile 4.8 before I do something stupid, plus the guys at work are beating me up because I am doing this,Dodge boys with payments and my little rig that's paid off.... this is all we do all day.

I 2nd the yank converter they have always worked for me. When trying to run quick with small ci's in a heavy chassis you need lots of converter and gear. I would want something around 5-55k flash and 4.88 gears. Also I would cut the heads as much as possible. You keep that little engine in it's sweet spot it will surprise you.

Yeah id say atleast a ss4000 yank but id aim for the ss4400, then atleast 4.56 gears. I think 4.88 gears with an ss4400 would be a good setup for your 4.8. The 228r cam is plenty big but with that drive train setup you should pull it off, some polished ls6 heads with .050 mill would be a great upgrade aswell.

Yeahh those r great stalls...they told me that my cam has good compression so with sum 243heads milled to .35 should work great

i think with your cam, 4400 stall, some ported and milled 862s (about 11:1 compression), and 4.56s will probably get you close to mid 12s...
