Im just wondering, i saw where you posted how the 4.8 gets better gas mileage than the 6.0...how good of gas mileage are you getting with a 228/3600 combo in a less than 300 cubic inch motor? Personally, if youre worried about gas mileage i wouldnt be driving the truck daily therefore that tidbit of info would be pointless? Just my .02

Also, idk if im just biased or what but i dont really see the point of trying to push a 4.8 na? In the end itll just be cheaper to either go fi or swap in a bigger inch motor. I mean a pretty nasty setup(minus the 4.8) only running 13.5s? Im hoping for less than that with just a small cam 5.3 and 3200 converter, maybe a step up in gear

i understand what you mean jake...to me it just seems like trying to set a record for the fastest na 4.8 is like trying to be the best inmate at the county jail...honestly all the record crap is getting on my nerves...i say just build the truck how you wanna build it and go racing, have fun with it. dont be worried about some record....but idk? i never really understood it

with my lts, tune and cai, i get like 24 on the highway in my 5.3...to me it seems like the smaller the motor in the same size vehicle, the harder it has to push itself to turn the same weight...? idk tho

Seems like I saw something online in lasy year or two about a 4.8 with TFS heads and custom cam running like 12.40 n/a ,but, can't remember where or who it was. I would think it could be done with the right combo and some weight reduction could probably get in the high 11's.

I found an old article and it was a guy Charlie from Vengance Racing. 4.8 rcsb with TFS 205 heads and TFS cam specs around 220 @.050. Not sure about converter etc, but said it went 12.80 @110 which sounds like with better converter, suspension etc could have went low 12's.
