finally a decent pass
Finally got a dyno tune, reflashed the converter to 3800 , my best pass last night at the 1/8th =.664 reaction
1.69 60'
7.55 et
92.74 mph
temps were 80 degrees track sticky.
I think theres more in it but need to dump the MAF, go to sd tune and a looser or smaller converter. Anyone with any suggestions?

Good times, i wouldnt think you should need a looser verter if its at 3800 already with that procharger, unless your spinning it past 7k i bet you will start loosing top end if you go bigger on the stall, I would think your best bet for a better 60 foot would be to go to a 4.10 gear, with that 80e i really think you need a lower gear??

i honestly dont see that having 4:11s and a 3800 converter is "helping" in a way thats hurting him on the top end. he may not care about the 1/8 mile. i would go 4:30s to help get away from that 1st gear sooner, or even a 4:56 depending what kind of tire he's running.
i know i built my truck for an all around truck. i dont care what the 1/8th does...id rather have a higher MPH over an E.T. i find that your MPH is what wins you races over "i run 12.99s at 103/104" id rather run a 13.0 at 105 bc its a beast and hard as hell to catch...ask me how i know!

Yes I have 4:11's but with a 29" tall 14'' Hoosier that dead hooks. Also have the 4L80E with that tall first gear. I found out from my tranny guy there's a lower first he can put in but for what it costs I'll pass. It just seems to me it should pull harder outta the hole?

My best pass in my 04 awd SSS was real close to yours..I was stuck at 7.7x and was frustrated because guys with similar setups were running 7.5x..I ran a 35 dry shot off the line and got in to the 1.6x 60' and the low 7.6 range with about the same mph as you...Quick rundown of mods
-370 c.i stock rods/crank 10.3:1
-mp112 2.75 90mm conversion
-ALL bolton's
-LT's to 3" to single 4"
-built 65e yank 3000 stall
-factory 4:10's
-35 dry shot
-22X/58x cam
I think your runs were good but with the rcsb 2wd advantage...you should be a tad faster...what was the elevation?

what jet size are you running for a 35 dry shot?. I have a 75 wet shot but it's too much fuel and makes the run slower.
don't know elevation, Skyview drags in Owego NY, i'll have to look it up.
at 4400 lbs with driver I think it should be faster, yes
